131 007 is a newly formed (mid 2011) company. Ecotaxi Pty Ltd (formerly Omnicabs Pty Ltd) and eLimousine Pty Ltd encountered an incredible number of hurdles to jump over and hoops through in an industry largely reported as being controlled by Cabcharge, holding an apparent and widely reported, literal monopoly. See on the NEWS tab for the story of the $15mil ACCC fine Cabcharge received for anti-competitive behaviour.
In early 2011, the business 131 007 was formed and we acquired the national telephone number 131 007.
With a new team (including share-holders & investors), some of the experience from the previous entities and a fresh determination to really take the market on, 131 007 strives to offer the very best in all of your transportation needs. Whether it is a taxi, limousine, maxi, coach, luxury boat or even a private jet, we at 131 007 can assist you in the very best way possible.

ABOUT Continued...
The single biggest domestic competitor to the Cabcharge empire is a company that literaly every Sydney and most National taxi drivers and limousine drivers (and as a taxi customer, if you look closely at any taxi receipts you may see their brand) is GM Cabs. In Sydney Metropolitan area, GM Cabs is the licensee of the taxi element in our service provision at 131 007. They are networked with other taxi companies and so a call to book your taxi with 131 007 in Sydney is a choice to opt out of the Cabcharge dominated market and go with the independent.
No minnow however, GM Cabs has a 32% market share as at July 2011 with Cabcharge some 37% (of electronic method of payments).
What will you get in return for using our services?
Well... we are striving to be more environmentally conscious. Our first new taxi vehicles have all been the new Toyota Camry HYBRID. Reduce your carbon footprint by choosing to book at 131 007. GM Cabs has already negotiated the acquisition of more new Toyota Hybrid Camry's.
For the latest information and special direct purchasing opportunities (available to all of our clients) go to www.toyotahybridonline.com.au
On the limousine or guaranteed private car booking service, we are committed to purchasing vehicles demonstrating environmentally friendlier consciousness, be they hybrid or new and emerging technologies.
We offer the same kind of accounts services as Cabcharge but, with a marked difference. Why not inquire directly using the contact us page to ask about our corporate accounts and special privileges...
NOTE:
We know we have a big fight on our hands. The State Government seems (to us) determined to continue to permit all kinds of anti-competitive behaviour in the industry. The Department of Transport and Infrastructure even is currently (as at August 2011) trying to disallow our logo on the side of a new taxi fleet as they think it is too similar to the 131 008 logo! A fight for the Cabcharge controlled networks one might think. We are currently investigating why the department appears to have the interests of these networks at heart and we assert that our vehicles will look like no other taxi network and in any event, cannot see why that would be such an issue (after all, in Melbourne for instance, the Kennett government made all taxis go yellow to make taxis more easily identifiable for the consumer/travelling public. Cabcharge are ruthless in protecting their operating environment and you only have to look at their board members and see how many are closely linked to current or former Governments to ask the question... how on earth are they getting away with it all?
We applaud the previous and continuing efforts of the ACCC and watch this space for when we really start to take the bull by the horns you can expect a media frenzy on some of the corruption exposure yet to come.
Finally, with Russell, our director, having previously worked in a variety of specialised policing roles including advanced riot-policing and counter-terrorism, you can be assured that being bullied or intimidated is quite simply something we at 131 007 will not allow to happen! If you currently or have previously worked for Cabcharge, any of it's agents or a relevant government department and have witnessed what you thought might construe or possiblly be anti-competitve or unlawful behaviour, please contact us in the very strictest of confidence.
